I got the same problem using fb instead of ivtvdev in my X config.

I think I'm asking a dumb question, but I'm running into a problem
where when I start X Windows on the PVR 350's TV out port, the X server
gets to 99% of cpu usage in less than 2 minutes, and nothing ever gets
displayed.

ivtv-fb-fix-prepdma.diff from http://membres.lycos.fr/badzzzz/

Not to mention I noticed ivtv-0.2.0-rc3 doesn't have an ivtv-fb.c file
any longer.

Does ivtv-0.2.0-rc3 already contain the ivtv-fb-fix-prepdma patch?
