I will be posting a patch for audio and scaling any day now. I have that
working, just need to clean some stuff up in the code first. I've rewritten
the entire cx25840 and wm8775 driver. All the registers in both chips has
been parameterized so we can now tweak every setting in them very easy.
Composite in and Tuner works for PAL, s-video and NTSC has not been tested.

The code has currently been send to Vedran Rodic at Vodatel, for testing.
They are currently supporting my development efforts. :)

I will also post a excellent i2c scan and analyze tool, based on the cheapy
concept, that knows about all the registers in the cx25840, very handy for
further analysis.

Sorry for the delay but I have been very busy.

/Ulf.

Subject: [ivtv-devel] PAL PVR150 i2c logs

Thanks to both Chris and Ulf for their work on this so far!

Is there any chance of someone sending me the datasheets for the chipset?

I'm seeing some problems in MythTV using this card (apart from the
obvious audio issue).
1. SVideo is black + white
2. Scaling does not appear to work - Capture at any resolution <720x576
is not scaled, just cropped
3. Capture resolutions of 768x576 crash MythTV

I'm not sure if these help or not, but I've created these logs on a PAL
PVR150, comparing various things in Windows and Linux.

There are some very obvious differences between the captures and I'm not
even sure if they make any sense (if my capture hardware is working, I
mean).

I'll work on this a bit more later, with better selection of the
operations, but I just wanted to let the list have these captures from
PAL land, if they'll help.

bootlinux.log
Log of a boot (possibly some stuff afterwards - had mythbackend set to
autostart)

bootwindows.log
Log of a windows XP boot with the driver installed

selectcompositelinux.log
MythTV selecting the composite input

selectsvidlinux.log
MythTV selecting the SVid input

startcap-svidWindows.log
Capture start using default settings of WinTV2000, 7??x576

stopcap-svidWindows.log
End of the above capture

All available at http://pendor.org/i2clogs.tar.gz - About 100k.

Cheers,

Allan.
