Lack of support for format switching in Myth would be one reason. In my case, 
my analog cards are fed by cable, and the pcHDTV over-the-air.

Er, no, not even close. In analog mode, the pcHDTV cards are just dumb 
frame-grabbers, equivalent to any bttv or cx88 card without an mpeg2 encoder.
