OK. First, let me lead with many thanks to the whole IvyTV team, and
especially Chris.

I've screwed something up. I've had a nice, stable system dating back
over a year, and just this Christmas, my wife decided it was time to
add a second tuner to our system. The system is a NForce2-based box,
with a year old PVR-350 and a brand-new PVR-250. It's running Gentoo.

With the new tuner, I decided to update the box, and so I changed from
my trust 2.4 kernel to a brand new 2.6 kernel. And upgraded ivtv to
0.2.0. And, you know what? It all worked with the original 350 card,
but I was getting static on the 250. Checked through the archives,
discovered that the new 250, with a type 50 tuner needed updated v4l
tuner.o. Fair enough. Tried to install the v4l snapshot (patching
didn't work on my gentoo-dev-sources kernel). All hell broke loose
after that, and now I can't even get anything off my old 350. I'm
quite frustrated right now, and the wife is unhappy too. Any help you
can give will be greatly appreciated.

I've looked at the archives and seen a similar problem, but no
resolution. My next steps are to move to a bleeding kernel that has
the v4l patches, and also to move to the 0.3.0 ivtv driver set ... but
it's a sign of desperation!
