Peter,

I had the same problem. My solution is to load all modules one by one (I
have a PVR150 (PAL) and PVR350 (PAL)):

-----------------------------------------------
#!/bin/bash
echo Loading IVTV drivers.
modprobe tveeprom
sleep 1
modprobe tuner
sleep 1
modprobe msp3400
sleep 1
modprobe videodev
sleep 1
modprobe saa7115
sleep 1
modprobe saa7127
sleep 1
modprobe cx25840
sleep 1
modprobe wm8775
sleep 1
modprobe ivtv
----------------------------------------------

Nope, doesn't work for me. If I do the same sequence, as above, by hand
the wm8775 reboots my computer without delay and I don't have the videodev
module. I also tried to do:

modprobe tveeprom
modprobe tuner
modprobe cx25840
modprobe ivtv

... in sequence (I think these are the only relevant modules for the
pvr150?). But that gives me the same result: a total freeze.

Thanks for the input anyway...

Best regards

Peter K

Peter,

You need the videodev module to get ivtv to work.

Michel.
