It's been awhile but I got a replacement for my PVR-350 today. I replaced the card and it has not "exploded" with errors yet like the other one. I have really beat it with ff/rew requests and the tv out has not ceased as before. But, the "freezes until ssh input received" still happens. I have tried removing the vsync flag from ivtv-driver.c as before and it actually seems to make it worse.
I was thinking of jerking out the sound card. Do you think that would make a difference? I was just reading some of the lists recent post and someone suggested a new mobo. Does anyone know of any replacement motherboard that would fit in a dell dimension l700cxe case (doubtful I know)? What about a sub-tiny-micro gamecube sized case and mobo that I can reuse my hardware in? Thanks, Brent With the VSYNC flag intact my dma traffic looks like: irq 0: 100 timer irq 9: 0 usb-uhci, Ensoniq Au irq 1: 0 keyboard irq 10: 527 ivtv0 irq 2: 0 cascade [4] irq 12: 0 PS/2 Mouse irq 3: 3 eth0 irq 14: 15 ide0 irq 6: 0 irq 15: 0 ide1 irq 8: 0 rtc Without the flag it looks like: irq 0: 100 timer irq 9: 0 usb-uhci, Ensoniq Au irq 1: 0 keyboard irq 10: 42 ivtv0 irq 2: 0 cascade [4] irq 12: 0 PS/2 Mouse irq 3: 5 eth0 irq 14: 13 ide0 irq 6: 0 irq 15: 0 ide1 irq 8: 0 rtc ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by: Beat the post-holiday blues Get a FREE limited edition SourceForge.net t-shirt from ThinkGeek.
