Hi-

I'm having problems getting a proper frequency table for my Pundit-R,
PVR-350, MythTV system. Pardon the rambling e-mail, but as I'm not
sure what are relevant and what are irrelevant observations.

In chronological order:

December 04. PVR-350 in old epia box, under FC3, tuner works fine,
tests in Jarrod's howto tune to a channel work fine, but I never get
TV-out working right. I install windows 2000 and use GBPVR, tunes
channels OK but locks up over live tv. Epia turned into print
server/squeezebox server.

Jan6 05 PVR-350 into new Pundit-R. Trying Jarrod's howto, I can get
tv-out to work, but channels don't seem to be tuning right, but I'm
getting static- I figure I can try to fix later, must be a setting, so
press on with install. Get stuck on X over tv-out, and tuner thing
intrigues me. I'll try in windows again...

Jan 8 05, Install XP onto Pundit-R. GBPVR works, channels tune
properly, but I really want a linux solution.

Jan 13 05, Install SuSE 9.2 onto Pundit-R. (I have more experience
with SuSE than RH), install myth, ivtv, all with rpms. Everything
works with the exception of tuning channels. Changing channels does
change channels, and changing frequency tables in mythsetup does
change to different tables (no idea if they're correct) There are a
few channels (9, 10, 11) that do tune a signal, however for most
others, it's just static or a vague signal). When I find a channel
that tunes a signal, it's not the proper signal,( for example MythTV
channel 9 gives me the program that my TV normally tunes to channel
17; MythTV channel 10 gives me what shows on my cable tv channel 18)
These are shifted slightly when I change between the various frequency
tables in MythTV, but none of them is correct.
I'm wondering if a) windows messed things up? of if there's a way to
"reset" the tuner. It appears that the tuner is changing in response
to freq table changes made in myth, but just not to one that works for
me. I've tried all the US options available, and none works. I know
there are sonm issues with new tuner types, but my tuner 47 seems to
be recongized fine. Anybody have suggestions on how to troubleshoot?
I've posted to both ivtv and myth sorry for the double posts for some,
but , I'm stuck here and not exactly sure where the problem lies.
Thanks- Mike
