I'm having a problem getting my PVR 350 TV-OUT working .

After a clean boot the tv screen shows a pattern of horizontal grey lines with a hint of green; if I 'rmmod saa7127' and 'modprobe saa7127 test_image=1' I get the proper test pattern in colour; if I repeat without the test_image I get a heavier black and white with some NW-SE diagonals overlaid.....

Can anyone tell me what I'm missing?

My configuration is Linux 2.6.9 kernel originaly built as gentoo-r4. Many other packages have been hand built. I'm running ivtv-0.2.0-rc3d. Modules.conf and INIT shown below. I should probably add that I have an ATI mach 64 TV card as well; this shows up as /dev/video0 with the km module.
