The frustrating part to me is the manner in which ivtv is being
developed and managed. The SourceForge project is apparently dead and
all current info regarding ivtv is spread all over the place.

I asked on this mailing list a week or so ago, why aren't SourceForge
services being utilized? I suspect that others would be more inclined
to participate if current sources were maintained in a public CVS
repository like SourceForge.

That stated, I want to say that I do realize the contribution that
Chris and probably many others, such as yourself, have made to the
ivtv project.

I'm a developer and I typically look for things that will make my job
easier, not harder. Trying to step in and get my arms around a project
being managed by a bunch of tarballs at site hosted by the URL of the
week isn't something that interests me... :)

Can someone definitively answer why the SourceForge ivtv project isn't
being utilized for the current ivtv development?

Again, I hope those involved with ivtv development take my post in the
spirit in which it is intended.
