I think we're all chasing around the same problem: We don't have all the data 
on the CX25840 audio registers.  Somehow we need to figure this out.

I've been writing a script to just poke all possible values into the various 
registers and see if i can get ANY change at all.  So far, all I've been able 
to do is get either no audio, or both the tuner audio and the line input at the 
same time.

I started with CX25840_SET_PATH1_SEL_CTL and so far the only value I've been 
able to find that gives any audio is 0x0002

Anyone fiddling around with the registers have any clues regarding audio 
routing?

The only other two problems I'm aware of are the S-Video input is monochrome 
(at least it is on my card) and I haven't tackled the IR receiver or 
transmitter yet.  I've read the receiver works, but I have not tried to get it 
going.
