Hello,
I'm trying to install an ivtv-kmdl rpm for a new kernel I want to use.
(ivtv-kmdl-2.4.26-1.ll.rhfc1.ccrma-0.2.0-62.1_rc3d.rhfc1.at.i686.rpm)
I've gotten to the point where I think I need to install ivtv-firmware-enc, and when I try this I get:

# rpm -ivh ivtv-firmware-enc-2.04.024-4.at.i386.rpm
Preparing... ########################################### [100%]
file /lib/modules/ivtv-fw-enc.bin from install of ivtv-firmware-enc-2.04.024-4.at conflicts with file from package ivtv-firmware-2.02.023-3.at

I was going to try to 'rpm -e' the ivtv-firmware-2.02.023-3.at, but this said it was needed by the ivtv-kmdl for my current kernel.
(ivtv-kmdl-2.4.22-1.2174.nptl-0.1.9-25.rhfc1.at)

Is there anyway I can try to get this installed without breaking what I already have working?

I think you may need ivtv-firmware-dec-* also, then just rpm -Uvh ivtv-firmware*.rpm. Or better yet, let apt or yum take care of it for you...
