John,

I've used ivtv-0.3.2[bcd] with my PVR 150 which all show a somewhat similar behaviour. When grabbing from the composite input I get both, composite and tuner audio.
Since the tuner of my VCR (tape) shows less noise than my PVR 150 (model 1248) I use the composite input for recordings.
I can circumvent the problem by tuning the PVR 150 tuner to the same channel as my VCR.

So it seems to me that tuner audio is always mixed in, no matter which input I use.

pvr 150, tuner=52, PAL (Germany), model 1048
cx25840, cx23416
tveeprom: Hauppauge: model = 26034, rev = C197, serial# = 7702916
tveeprom: tuner = <unknown> (idx = 97, type = 4)
tveeprom: tuner fmt = PAL(D/K) (eeprom = 0x44, v4l2 = 0x00000e07)
tveeprom: audio_processor = MSP3400C (type = 4)

Best regards
Uli

Matt,
I have a pvr-150. I was getting tuner audio on the svideo port
starting with ivtv-0.3.2b. Can you please try that driver version and
verify if you get tuner audio on the svideo port starting there. This
will help be determine exactly where the audio is coming from on these
boards.

Thanks,
John

YOUR THE MAN!!!

I applied your patch to the PVR-150MCE NTSC (1042) and when using the
no_black_magic=1 parameter it WORKS GREAT. I even get audio but it isn't on
the tuner0 it is on the S-Vidoe0. I figure that it should be pretty easy to
dig into the options for S-vidio in the driver and figure out what
parameters need to be moved to the tuner part of the driver.

AGAIN GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
