Hello-
I would really appreciate some help, I'm not getting
very far with my mythtv installation.
I started installing mythtv on FC3 using Jarod's
guide. I ran into problems loading ivtv-fb, getting
the following output:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# /sbin/modprobe ivtv
FATAL: Error inserting ivtv_fb
(/lib/modules/2.6.10-1.12_FC2/updates/drivers/media/video/ivtv-fb.ko):
Operation not permitted
FATAL: Error running install command for ivtv
After hours googling for an answer, I wasn't able to
come up with anything that helped. I don't have
kernel or ivtv version numbers from the FC3 attempt,
but I thought I'd give it a swag with FC2, for which I
can offer more detailed information.
I still have the FC3 installation on a different disk.
I can swap the disks back and provide more
information if needed, and would like some guidance
which distribution is the better one to pursue.
The FC2 gives the exact same error message when I try
to modprobe ivtv-fb. The box is running the
2.6.10-1.12_FC2 kernel, with the following ivtv rpms:
