Bzzt, wrong! That isn't the problem here. If you'll take the time to read his 
output, you'll see that he has a type 3 tuner, which has been supported by 
the in-kernel tuner module for a LONG time.

That said, I'm not certain exactly what the problem is, but I highly suggest 
the OP try an ivtv version newer than 0.1.10pre2-ck114k with that kernel.
