I'm getting DMA erros on my system with various versions of ivtv and firmware. Currently I'm working with version 0.1.9 of the ivtv driver with firmware pvr250_18_22037.exe (0.2.0rc3g gives me headaches with ivtv-fb). All the problems I've had with ivtv (any version) seem to relate to DMA errors. I'm running 2.4.26 on a dual Xeon (HT enabled too) Supermicro X5DA8 motherboard with seagate scsi disks, all firmware up to date.

An example of a DMA problem is this: If I have a recording going and I log into/outof my system I get errors such as:

kernel: ivtv: Got DMA-done, but not expecting one
kernel: ivtv: DMA/UNKNOWN type 0xffffffff, NOT SUPPORTED

I've tried running with ACPI/APM and with it off, although I haven't tried with HT off.

Any advice? As mentioned, the problem seems to be even worse with the 0.2.0rc3g version, although I've only really used it with 2.4 kernel, as I'm also having problems getting 2.6 working. Thanks for any ideas.....

Regards, Paul
