Yeah, it takes a little while for things to get in upstream, look for it to be 
in the kernel-native tuner module probably in 2.6.12.

Not necessarily. You can simply grab the latest v4l snapshot from bytesex.org 
and build it externally.

ATrpms.net provides v4l builds in rpm form for Fedora Core and Red Hat.

FYI, that updated PAL tveeprom patch I promised yesterday is a bit behind 
schedule, but coming momentarily...
