Hi everybody! I've been trying to get the radio of my PVR 350 running... no success so far. TV and VBI works perfect (thanks for the good work, guys!!), but with 'radio -f xxx.xx' I just get noise, doesn't matter what frequency I use (tuning TV with ptune-ui.pl works fine) Running 'radio -f xxx.xx -j' and 'mplayer /dev/video0' gives me a green video image and the same audio noise. A patched version of radio gives me a signal strength of 8192 for each frequency while scanning (radio -s). I tried different versions of ivtv (0.2.0-rc2p, this comes with KnoppMyth R5, 0.1.10-pre2-ck115i, 0.2.0-rc3g, and 0.3.2f). No real difference, TV works, but Radio brings just noise, except that the noise with 0.1.10 sounds a bit thinner. I've tried connecting the audio out of the PVR to the pc's audio in and turned on passthrough (ivtvctl -K 1), I tried every combination with ivtvctl -v input=x,output=y. No improvement (sometimes I got no sound at all, sometimes I got that noise again).
tveeprom tells me about my PVR 350: Hauppauge: model = 48139, rev = K257, serial# = ... tuner = Philips FM1216 ME MK3 (idx = 57, type = 38) tuner fmt = PAL(D/K) (eeprom = 0x74, v4l2 = 0x00400e17) audio_processor = CS5331 (type = 9) /etc/modules looks like following: # ... msp3400 once=1 simple=1 saa7115 saa7127 enable_output=1 output_select=0 pal=1 tuner type=38 pal=1 ivtv ivtv_std=2 'tda9887 pal=B' plus the according option for the ivtv module 'tda9887=0' were in /etc/modules for a while also. Deleted them while experimenting around. After loading the modules following lines are called: ivtvctl -d /dev/video0 -u 0xff ivtvctl -d /dev/video0 -p 4 ivtvctl -d /dev/video0 -f width=720,height=576 ivtvctl -d /dev/video0 -c dnr_mode=0,dnr_temporal=0 But I guess, that's all video stuff. Nothing to do with radio. If you have any suggestions or help to get the radio working, please, let me know :) I'm also willing to support within my possibilities. And if you are wondering about some strange settings mentioned above, I'm rather new to linux. So tell me about it, I'm eager to learn :) Best wishes!
