John,

Mike, who started this thread, reported the problem with ivtv 0.2.
But, yes, I did try ivtv 0.2.? and did get the same result.

I also have some issue with mytmusic that seems similar except in that
case the cpu is pegged so I'm not sure it is the same issue. It seems
to work better with ivtv 0.3 which is why I've been using it.

I asked the group about the mythmusic issue some time ago and thought
using the ivtv x driver bundled with the ivtv package had resolved it
but it didn't, it just got the cpu load just under 100% so it appeared
to work but if anything else is loading the cpu it is apparent.

What is strange about the mythmusic problem is that it occurs with the
'album art' visualization which is just black screen with ? in the
middle - the 'goom' one works fine at like 30% cpu, so I just switched
the visualization from 'random' to 'goom'. I think other
visualizations were okay too, just the 'album art' was a problem.

But I'm not sure the mythmusic thing an program guide thing are related
because cpu doesn't appear loaded with the program guide display.

Thanks,

Matt
