Hi,

I just wanted to add to this thread that this newer version of the
firmware has solved my encoding problems as well.  I have the following:

  PVR-350
  KM400 chipset
  Sempron 2400

I was getting the
  ivtv: ENC: EOS interrupt not received! stopping anyway.
log messages when I would try to encode.  Usually not on the first
encoding, but on the second.  This seemed to cause the driver/firmware to
get into a state where it would no longer work; zero-length mpeg files
from then on.

I upgraded the firmware to 1.18.21.22301 and now encoding works all the
time.
