Its type 56 in the tuner module shipped with ivtv 0.3.2i, and a patch for it 
has already been submitted upstream for v4l inclusion.

You're loading the in-kernel tveeprom, it would appear. The tveeprom in 0.3.2i 
should properly detect everything there.

I'm not certain what it means, but a fatal error definitely needs to be 
corrected.

Especially since you really need that module loaded for these cards to do 
anything useful. :-)

Try using all the modules created by the ivtv make instead of the in-kernel 
ones, you should get further. You've got multiple things failing there, lets 
start with the easy stuff.
