Yes i think my patch makes this work. In fact i have a second patch which fixes some other problems but the FF/REW hang happens every time. I have been investigating this but haven't made much progress though i do have some ideas. The real problem has been time. Anyway i'll spend more time tonight on it. I'm hoping this might lead to fixing something that is leading to these other intermittent problems.
