Hello all:
I'm having issues getting my pvr-500 tuners working. I have a PVR-250 and a PVR-500 in the same computer. The PVR-250 is connected to a digital cable box via S-vid; I've never tested its tuner capability.
Right now I've got ivtv-0.3.2j compiled and installed, and sucessfully got both the 250 and the 500 ("first tuner") working with the composite input. However, the tuner on the 500 is not working. With the ivtv tuner.ko that came with ivtv, I got a cyclic static: Started as black with static growing in intensity until the screen was completly covered in static, then it went black again. The static was very red-tinted.
Based on recomendations from #ivtv-dev, I compiled the tuner.ko from the march 10 v4l2 snapshot and installed that. With that module running, I got a continous static that looked a litte more normal (less red tint).
Anyone have any suggestions?
