Ahha, this seems to have fixed mine too, but I found basically the
tuner.ko and the tveeprom.ko that come with the Linux kernel have
to be deleted, not just tuner.ko.  So seems mine was that the tveeprom
(which seems to be needed to load too I guess), was not being used from
ivtv.
