OK.... Drivers compile just fine. After some work I could see that both the PVR350 and the 500 were initialized. TV tuner into the 350 worked. tv out to monitor worked. Could not get TV-out from 350 to work. I tried numerous things and made sure I powered off for 5 minutes but still no luck.
I'm not giving up, but the main MythTV setup is the only complete one I have right now and my wife has grown fond of this DVR+ ;-) She's been patient enough, so I'm going back to the original setup and will have to put together a backup/test box and see if I can get the 500 to play well by itself. I think I've read where the 350 TVout tuner doesn't work with the ivtv-0.3x + 2.4.x kernel. Not sure if that's factual or one persons findings. Thanks for all the help so far.
