I have the 5200 running with xvmc. In mythtv, first do "./configure
--enable-xvmc" (you might also want --disable-lirc), then "qmake
mythtv.pro" followed by "make" & "make install". My CPU load dropped from 45 - 50 % to 13 - 14% (1.5 GHz Sempron) when watching TV. This is with the latest nVidia driver. Only problem is that OSD doesn't work properly - yet. You get a very jittery image as long as the OSD is displayed, image returns to normal when it disappears. Cheers, -Morten Gregory J. I can't seem to get it going. On Mon, 2005-04-11 at 14:17, Birrane, Edward J. wrote:I noticed a lot of people using an FX5200 for playback. I've got a PVR-350 and the ivtvdev driver works for me, but sometimes is a little buggy and offers little support for other kinds of video playback. For those who use the FX5200, is the s-video out for watching standard definition comparible to the output of the PVR-350? Has anyone gone from one to the other? -Ed -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of Matt Sent: Monday, April 11, 2005 1:53 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [ivtv-devel] PVR-500 not working On Apr 11, 2005 9:53 AM, Dan Littlejohn <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: -- ------------------------------------------------------------------- WEB-fx http://www.webfx.no Morten Lerskau Rønseth mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Odinsvei 15c +47 6680 9191 1413 Tårnåsen +47 9343 4357 Norway------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
