I'm having some problems with the sound from my pvr500. This is a card with tuner type 56 (tveeprom: tuner = Philips FQ1216AME MK4 (idx = 91, type = 56)). The problem is that the sound contains a lot of noise. By changing the frequency a little with ptune-ui.pl I can make the sound a little less noisy, and this makes me wonder if it perhaps something wrong with the settings in the tuner.c code. I also have a pvr350 that's working perfectly, so it's not anything wrong with my antenna signal.
Has anyone with a tuner type 56 managed to get noise free sound from the card? If not, can someone with the proper knowledge please double check the settings for the tuner in tuner.c?
