Morten,

have you tried loading the drivers with no options? I'm got way better
results after I disabled most of the options and let ivtv
auto-detect/decide for himself. In older versions they were needed,
since 0.3.3 I've noticed they cause more problems than they solve (for
me that is).

Hi all,

Just tried the 0.3.3t version, hoping that it would benefit me in some
way :-)
But, as with all 0.3.3 versions on my card, it gives less than perfect
encoding.
There are strange artifacts in the picture (subtle but still), 0.3.3r
had some irregularities on vertical lines, where the contrast would
shift in and out.

I still get best performance with 0.3.2q - and I'll stick to it for now.
If anybody know of any new settings I could give the driver upon startup
to improve, please feel free to drop me a line.

I have a 150MCE PAL card, Philips PAL/SECAM multi (FM1216ME MK3).
I start the card thus:

/sbin/modprobe tveeprom
/sbin/modprobe tuner
/sbin/modprobe cx25840 audiofmt=4
/sbin/modprobe tda9887 pal=b
/sbin/modprobe wm8775 mixer=2
/sbin/modprobe ivtv ivtv_std=2 tuner=38 radio=1

Cheers,

-Morten
