I have the same exact card (tuner 47, and everything).  I was having
the same problem (not getting the cx25840 module to accept the
no_black_magic option).  I ended up upgrading my kernel from 2.6.8 to
2.6.11 and it started accepting that parameter, allowing my card to
work.  While I can't say for sure that there isn't a simpler way to
fix this, it worked for me.  With the exception of bad video from the
svideo input (video bleeding in from the tuner), this version of the
driver (0.3.4p) works very well.
