Thanks for the tip, and I will try your patch. One minor (or perhaps major, I don't know the implications
of this return value) niggle:


ivtv_reset_ir_gpio is declared as a void function and has no return value, but when it is called from
ivtv-ioctl.c, its return value is being used, which I can only assume is garbage.
