The MCE version backplate has no IR in/out, and 2 RCA audio in jacks (one red one white). The nonMCE has a mini headphone jack for audio in, and a mini headphone jack for IR in/out. I think that's the most obvious difference, but I don't know for sure because I've only seen pictures of the MCE version.
