1. Move all data to my current working system's drive (we'll call this Drive A). It'll be a tight fit but I've got about 30 family guy episodes I can weed through to make room if need be.
2. Install WinXP on Drive B. Get 350 working in XP. Replicate register shifting so that I can report to Hauppauge that the card is failing with THEIR drivers in THEIR recommended OS. Call Hauppauge and set up an RMA.
3. If any part of step 2 fails: throw a fit, moan about it and put for 20-30 minutes, and then try to make the 150MCE and 350 play nice together in myth (I've got all of 1 more option for making this happen and I'm about .05% sure it'll work).
I guess if I want feedback I should ask a question or something. Has anyone had experience dealing with replacement of parts from Hauppauge? What should I expect from them if I am able to replicate the problems in Windows? What should my approach be when contacting them: open honesty about using unsupported drivers, evasive answers, or blatant lying? I bought the card in August of '04 from newegg.
