I finally fixed this issue on my D492 card by editing:
driver/cx25840-driver.cand finding this line (around 62): static int no_black_magic = 1; Make sure its set to = 1. Recompile IVTV, cold boot, then try it again. This fixed my static issue, I now get video, but its "corrupt" video. One step further at least I guess. Let me know how it goes.
