Just wanted to tell that 0.3.5d seems lot more stable regarding the ff/rew issue. I can still, however, get it to "freeze" but it takes a little more pressing of the keys. Also, I got xvmc working OK on my fx5200 board, it used to be wildly jittery when displaying OSD, now the picture is smooth, although the letters displayed are somewhat "nervous". ff/rew using xvmc works like a charm! But, If I do ff/rew after timestretching to, say, 1.25x, the frontend hangs and I have to ssh to my box and kill it off (and also restart the backend as it seems to have a communications channel opened to the now distinct frontend).
