That may well be true, but the patch does fix the bizarre 12 pixel wide black border on the bottom of PVR-500 recordings that is far wider than it should be and rather wider than (I believe) you get with the Windows driver. In fact, without the patch, the last good video line ends in mid-screen, and that just can't be right. So there must be something else going on under the hood.
