Hi Matt,

To me, it looks like not much i wrong. I get this static too when
loading the framebuffer module. Try starting X on the framebuffer..

If your not aiming for an X setup, I suggest removing the ivtv-fb
module and reloading hte ivtv module, tune to a channel you know will
give you a picture and then
cat /dev/video0 > /dev/video16

If you get a picture, the setup is ok.
