I saw this also with the tuner input as you say, but that was a static.
This seems to be different. It almost seems like a bad encoding. In
MythTv it will actually fall behind in time as it trys to play it.

Did you have time to listen to the clip and let me know if that was
the same type of static you were getting?

Yeah, I listened to the clip and it sounded very similar to what I got. There would be a click followed by slightly jumpy video and very nasty audio that sounds like the same bit of audio is layered 3 or 4 times spaced slightly apart.
