Nope. Autoconfig sets the VGAs back to 1, but CHROMA_IN_SEL
stays the same.

Huh.
Yeah. The datasheet says "The register logic will automatically adjust the register fields upon writing the INPUT_MODE field". Table 3-16 shows which registers will change. When we swap INPUT_MODE from 0 to 1 and vice-versa, the VGAs for CH1 and CH3 automatically are updated to the proper values. For some reason, the windows driver really wants to be sure they are set when going to a composite signal (tuner or composite).
*shrug* I have no idea what the majority of these settings do. I
think it's better though if anything that only needs to be set once is
set in the init and then left alone. -As long as it doesn't break
anything, of course.
hehe Yeah I'm learning too. Variable Gain Controller? Umm yeah... run it off video. Whatever you thing is good.

I agree though. I say throw out the 3 lines I had in my patch, let autoconfig set the VGA_SEL_* and put CX25840_SET_CHROMA_IN_SEL(0x01); in the init.
