Just got my PVR350+PVR500MCE combo working 100% with 0.3.6d (which I won't be touching for a while, have to test long-term stability of the server itself) and wanted to send a big THANK YOU to all the devs!

For others with the same (or similar) hardware, I used a minimal modprobe.conf on a FC3 Mythology install (350 is detected first):

alias char-major-81 videodev
alias char-major-81-0 ivtv
alias char-major-81-1 ivtv
alias char-major-81-2 ivtv
options saa7127 i2c_enable=1,-1,-1,-1
options cx25850 i2c_enable=-1,1,1,1
options ivtv ivtv_std=2 tda9887=0

The rest is standard, with no modified initrd and ivtv compiles from source, with appropriate kernel modules renamed to avoid collision with the ones installed by ivtv.

However, the one thing that made it work was the cold reboot. Can't stress that enough - during my trial-and-error, I must have accidentially loaded PVR150/500 firmware into the 350 a lot of times (flashing white lines on the TV for a few seconds, then nothing), and I guess only a cold reboot can fix that. Once the above settings where in place and the computer had stood still for >1 minute, everything worked great! Three tuners AND tv-out all work perfectly.

Now I only have to worry about getting XV support to work... =)

/ Niklas
