When running an encoding for a very long time, like 1+ days, I'm seeing the cx25840 suddenly/randomly lose sound, get a fuzzy odd type sound like the input is shifting for some reason. Is this something others have seen, what could this possibly be, autodetection still doing something odd. I think running long-term just gives more of a chance of happening, but it's probably something that can spring up at anytime, seems like something could be done to fix it, still trying to figure out where it could be. I swore this stopped happening for a few versions, or it may have just been luck, something to look at since seems like something going on there.

I get this, but only on surtain channels that have poor audio signal.
I'm using 0.3.6e since I get no audio on tuner 1 with the newest versions.

My card is an PVR-500 (PAL)

If I can be of any help, please let me know.

I have got great sound when removing the 'qss=0' option from modprobe tda9887 - except for version 0.3.6o - where the sound disappeared on the second tuner on the pvr500mce (PAL). Ok for version 0.3.6n

When using qss=0 I also experienced randomly loosing sound - but this has been ok ever since I removed it.

Sigurd
