I have the exact same problem with my PVR350 and 0.3.5m.

Of course I go to get my logfile for you here and run xvinfo just for shits 
and giggles... and I see xv support.  Is there something I did (or didn't do 
before) which turned Xv support on?!  I swear I haven't changed anything in 
either my driver config or my x.org config since I started playing with 
Xv.  :-)
