Hello,

I've followed along with enough reading to have some questions. My
setup is a gentoo with a 2.6.11.11 vanilla kernel.

I've downloaded to compile the 3.6p drivers and when I run make... the
computer complains that the cx25840.ko is undefined. I have copied the
FW files from the CD to the /lib/modules directory.

Basically, I'm using a hauppauge 500mce on gentoo and I have the
kernel modules for i2c and v4l both supported.

When make complains that cx25840.ko is undefined, it's a warning about
the firmware. When I reboot the computer, the kernel has a fatal error
with the cx25840.

Where do need to be feeding the FW files to the ../drivers directory so
that I can make without errors?

Yours Truly,

Camisa
