I have a PVR500 MCE with the model number 23552 Rev D492. I'm having the same static problem mentioned here a few days ago at http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/ivtv/devel/21678
I tried using alias char-major-81 videodev options ivtv tda9887=0,0 ivtv_debug=1,1 in /etc/mythtv/modules/ivtv (I'm using knoppMythR5A16) with modules 0.3.6o I've also tried modules 0.3.6r and modules 0.3.2-s using alias char-major-81 videodev options cx25840 no_black_magic=1 options ivtv ivtv_debug=1 tuner=57,57 as mentioned in this post http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/ivtv/devel/20655?search_string=D492;#20655 I've tried setting it up as explained in doc/QuickSetup and doc/README.cx2840 And I've tried passing numerous other options to kernel modules that i can't even remember. Everything i try all i get is static.. Am i missing something obvious?
