Just to be clear, the effect I'm seeing doesn't have
anything to do with the encoder, it's something with
the TV output on the 350.

I've attached a photo showing the effect.  On the left
is using xv/yuv, on the right is the 350's decoder. 
Notice that on the left it looks sorta like two
vertically displaced copies of the image, like taking
a long exposure photo and shaking vertically.

I used some OSD text because it's easier to take a
photo of.  It has a noticeable effect on video
quality.
