Sorry to just jump in like this.  

But I was just prowling around and found a folder with all the video
devices that exist.

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/proc/video/dev # ls
radio0  vbi0  vbi4  vbi8  video0  video16  video24  video32  video48
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/proc/video/dev #


video0 is my mpeg stream.  Maybe you can try those others.

Should it work with a pvr-250 too? I can cat /dev/video32 and get some
data but mplayer does not recognize it. What are the mplayer parameters
to play YUV that the card generates?
