I'm currently unable to play video using xvmc over my pvr-350's
tv-out. I can play video just fine with xv, but not with xvmc.
If I try to use mythtv, mplayer, or xine with xvmc output, they give
an error message that is some variation on "no
XVideo-MotionCompensation extension found on display."
My xorg.conf has these lines in the pvr-350 device section:
Section "Device"
Identifier "Hauppauge PVR 350 iTVC15 Framebuffer"
Driver "ivtvdev"
Option "fbdev" "/dev/fb1"
Option "VideoOverlay" "On"
Option "XVideo" "On"
#the following line has no effect
Option "XVideo-MotionCompensation" "On"
BusID "PCI:2:13:0"
EndSection
and these logs are in the xorg log file:
(II) Loading extension XVideo
(II) Loading extension XVideo-MotionCompensation
xdpyinfo lists the "XVideo" extension but no
"XVideo-MotionCompensation" extension for the display. I don't know if
it should be listed or not.
I'm sure I'm just missing something simple, but I'd appreciate it if
someone could point out to me what that is.
