hello,
i've a pvr350 and recent ivtv versions in pal region running at a amd64
debian/unstable installation with kernel 2.6.12.
until last week, everything worked well. at least i was able to watch
live tv and records in mythtv. this was with ivtv 0.3.7a or c (not sure).
my modprobe.d/ivtv contains:
options tuner pal=1
install ivtv /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install ivtv; \
/bin/ivtvctl -p 4 -u 0xff -f width=720,height=576 \
-j reg=0x6c,val=0xfa -b teletext;
since some days i get no channels any longer and ivtvctl gives strange
errors.
for 0.3.7a 'ivtvctl -j reg=0x6c,val=0xfa' gives the following output:
ioctl IVTV_IOC_S_SAA7127_REG ok
set SAA7127 register 0x6C to 0xFA
for 0.3.7h it gives:
ioctl IVTV_IOC_S_SAA7127_REG failed: Invalid argument
i attached output of 'modprobe ivtv' with the pasted
/etc/modprobe.d/ivtv in seperate files.
i hope that you have an idea what this could cause. the problem is, that
no channels work with either ivtv version while they worked before.
could the hardware be damaged? i don't know how this could have happened,
but obviously things that worked before (in the same environment) don't
work any longer.
