Hi Cory If you are referring to the links on the Adaptec AVC-2410, that card is an internal PCI card and almost works with the standard ivtv driver, the main problem being the setup of the Audio DAC (53L32AKZ) (The audio is read in at the wrong speed) which the standard driver does not set up and therefore requires some hacking of the driver for it to work. A lot of the modifications were to recognise the card and automatically load a module to set up the Audio DAC (53L32AKZ).
I don't know anything about the USB box you are referring to, but as far as I understand it ivtv does not currently support USB devices. However if you look on the Supported Hardware page on the ivtv wiki there is a link to a driver for the Hauppauge WinTV PVR usb2, I would suggest you start there on developing a working driver.
