Don't know if it's worth anything to you but I have a broken (I think)
PVR-250.  I haven't
tried using it in a while after I replaced it with a -500, but I
believe tension on the cable
pulled the RF connector off the board and I haven't got around to
resoldering the
contacts -- or, for that matter, testing that hypothesis by making
sure the composite
input works.  It's a 1st gen with the encoder chip and NTSC.
