Hello all,
IVTV works perfectly for me if i modprobe it from the command line.
However autoloading from any init script in anyway breaks it!
I have tried putting it in:
/etc/modules.autoload/kernel-2.6
/etc/conf.d/local.start
and even as part of my mythbackend start script!
but with these i get a solid green video out with static and logs full of
> tuner: radio freq (0.00) out of range (65-108)
I just don't understand!
my /etc/modules.d/ivtv is: (gentoo equivalent of modules.conf)
>alias char-major-81 videodev
>alias char-major-81-0 ivtv
Currently i am using kernel 2.6.13, (but had identical issues with
2.6.11) all of the videodev & i2c is compiled as modules.
my card shares no interrupts, but i also have a nebula dvb (bttv &
dvb_bt8xx) card in there which continues to work regardless,
I am using 0.3.7k (but have tried 0.2.0-rc3j as well)

I get exactly the same problems if i remove all of the other autoloaded
modules have just _ivtv_ in there.
I presume the clue is in the
> tuner: radio freq (0.00) out of range (65-108)
that appears in my logs every time i try to mplayer /dev/video0, but
only when i autoload......
How can i investigate this further, any ideas?
Many thanks,
Robin Marlow
