So, if you go back to 2.6.11 the problem reappears? If so, can you still do 
the tests I asked in an earlier mail with 2.6.11? It still could be a driver 
bug that gets activated in certain situations or memory layout. Having a 
reproducable case helps a lot trying to track down the cause.
